Tap Into God’s Higher Ways

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. – Isaiah 55:8,9

If the point God is making here ended in verse 9, we might as well just throw in the towel and quit because God’s ways and thoughts are so far above ours. But don’t quit! Look at what God goes on to say, “So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth, it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where I sent it” (v. 11).

How can His Word prosper if we can’t reach the height of His thoughts and ways? God says, “Since you won’t find My thoughts or My ways on your own, I had holy men of old write them down as they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit. I’ve given you sixty-six books of My ways and My thoughts. These books include My old ways and thoughts, as well as My new ways and thoughts. The new ones are even better than the old, so make sure you live by the new.

You see, God is always the same, but He enacted two covenants, or contracts. Don’t go back and try to live under the contract He gave to people who were lost. They were living under the old covenant—spiritually dead and separated from God. Their sinful, old nature was covered, not cleansed.

Today, we are new creatures in Christ. We aren’t just forgiven, our sins are washed away, and we’re made new. We’re alive, redeemed, liberated, delivered, healed and set free!

You can leave the lower, carnal ways of the flesh. Just keep feeding on God’s Word. Let it renew your mind and bring life to your mortal body. As you do, God promises that His Word will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it—that is to help you walk in His higher ways of freedom, abundance and divine health!

CONFESSION:

God sent His Word to heal me. He heals my body and renews my mind so I can think His thoughts and follow His ways. Gods Word prospers in me!
