Jesus Still Heals Today

 In my book, Mystery of the Keys of the Kingdom, I mention the miracles I witnessed first hand. I truly believe when you expect a miracle with no doubt in your heart, Jesus will heal. (Mark 11:23) Now, let me caution you, there is miraculous healing and progressive healing. When I witnessed instant miraculous healing, it was in an atmosphere where people were taught and expectations were set. The Holy Spirit, which is part of the Trinity, loves to be talked about and will "show out" when biblical teaching and expectations meet. The other thing that excites the Holy Spirit is when we expect and receive healing for ourselves. Too many times, we may feel "Well, healing isn't for me but for someone else"! That is where we go wrong. Healing IS for you! No matter what the situation, whether in our thoughts or body.

Many times, I would lay hands and pray for something specific in their body. We can't see internal organs, we can't know the trauma or events in a persons life, but we pray believing the Word of God is true and that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). So, when they walk away not seeming to be healed in that moment we may feel defeated. We may say, "Well, I guess I missed it" or "Maybe I didn't hit on it just right!" No, we are following the leading of the Holy Spirit and we have to believe our prayers are reaching the need. There is a testimony in this book where my son prayed for a young man who had a disfiguring rash on his arms. He walked away with no immediate results. But the next day, .... well you will have to read the book to find out what happened.

Jesus prayed for the ten lepers who walked away, but one was healed and came back to thank Jesus. We need to expect that it is His will that we be healed...for you to be healed. Jesus still heals today and He is ready and willing to heal you.

A New Year - 2026

Entering a new year can be exciting but also with a lot of question marks. We can't see into the future, but we know the One who has already laid out our lives and has plans and purposes for every individual on the earth.

Psalm 139, David wrote this great insight into the thoughts of our Creator: The first part of this Psalm David understands that no matter where we are on the earth, He sees us, knows what we are going through and is there for us. Verse 10 says, "Even there (anywhere) Your hand shall lead me and Your right hand shall hold me."

In multiple places in scripture, we are promised that the Lord will never leave us or reject us, no matter what we have done or where we are. So as we embark on 2026, keep your eyes on your Savior who is always there for you.

Jeremiah 29:11 I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Who Is Jesus

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?"..."Who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. -                                                                                                                                                       Matt 16:13, 16, 17

 All of us have experienced a time when there was a dawn of understanding, the curtain lifted up, the light bulb came on, or however you want to put it. Something that we heard, saw or felt became a part of us - a revelation that would change our world.

In this scripture, Peter, who had been living, eating and walking by the side of Jesus for months and months suddenly realized just exactly who Jesus was. A typical man from Nazareth, yes, but there was something amazingly marvelous about Him that drew people. He had such a novel way of looking at things. He was militant about religion and those who were religious. He was unique, yet something very deep and ethereal swirled around Him. One could not put their finger on just what it was until this moment in time.

On this day, Jesus was with the disciples and His devoted followers. They had just had a discussion that was intertwined between leaven in bread and religious Pharisees and Sadducees. The disciples suddenly got it! The light went on! They realized that the religious mind-set that was so cemented in tradition was a huge barrier to what Jesus came to do and that was to bring the Kingdom of God to the people of the earth.

Then Jesus made a sudden turn in His conversation and asked the disciples, "Who do men say that I am?" Not who do the Pharisees say I am, but who do the grass-roots people say I am. After hearing his friends say, Elijah or John the Baptist, but suddenly, Peter got it! He told Jesus and the disciples that He was the anointed One that came from God to this earth.

Jesus applauded Peter, congratulated and probably hugged him because he finally realized exactly who Jesus was! And with that, Jesus explained that idea didn't come from Peter, it came from God, His Father, who is in heaven. Peter was in a train of thought or thinking outside the box, if you will, and opened His mind for the Father God to place that revelation in his mind. From that time on, Peter had a deeper knowledge of the purpose of Jesus. Even he stumbled and faltered several times after that, Peter had a true concept of the deity of Jesus, that He was the long-awaited Messiah.

Let me ask you this: Is your mind open for the Father to place a revelation in your thoughts or your rationalization? There is so much that God wants to reveal to His children in these last days and we cannot receive those ideas or understanding until we are willing to accept the unusual, the supernatural or the ideas outside of the box.

Ask the Father to help you hear His voice and accept what He wants to reveal to you today.

Here it is, fall of 2025 and I am renewing my passion to write about my passion - Jesus! 

It is four days after the memorial service for Charlie Kirk and I am still energized by what I saw and even felt in my living room. While watching the thousands of people filling that stadium for a hastily put together event, they didn't seem sad or defeated. Here they were coming to a memorial service for someone who was assassinated while sitting on a college campus talking to folks who came to ask questions. They came looking for hope, for a future that didn't define them as losers or insignificant. No, they came because they wanted to be counted for someone who represented them - the silent but passionate for freedom. And they left energized, full of hope and a new purpose.

We have been taught and told by folks who think they lord over our thoughts and speech to be quiet and think like them. They wanted to be the influencers for a new way of governing and culture. They want to tell us what to think and bend a knee to their authority and accept their reasoning. But in our heart of hearts we knew it was wrong. There was deception at the heart of their reasoning.

Then it happened. A young man with sincere motives, a love of country and truth was senselessly murdered - not only murdered but martyred. Why? because he spoke truth and made common sense but more importantly shared Jesus.

I know a man who experienced the same thing, Jesus Christ. He had sincere and pure motives to speak truth with love and compassion. He went into the hard places and was met with venom and hatred on many occasions. But he didn't quit. Defeat was not in Him. He came to defeat his enemy who loved to lie and deceive people and that was Satan. Jesus completed His assignment on this earth by letting His enemies think they won, but in reality, He won! He won because He defeated Satan's works by taking back the authority and power that was lost in the garden of Eden. 

Charlie is now with Jesus in heaven knowing that his work on earth is done. But that isn't the end of Charlie and his memory. Because he was taken from us, it has awakened hundreds of thousands of young and old alike to stand up for truth and common sense. We will no longer be told what to think or let our speech be subdued. We will not allow those that have been trying to change the culture of our nation, to persuade us into believing their lies.

A revival has been released. An awakening is being witnessed among those who, know in their hearts, what truth is and is willing to stand up to those who spew evil and deceit. It's going to get messy, but we know the One, Jesus, who will be by our sides.

 As of December 31, 2023, I have completed relaying the devotions written by Mark Brazee "Prescription for a Miracle." This past year, I have shared his daily devotions that included scripture and and explanation of how our Lord Jesus is able to be interested in every person's trials and victories in the health of their body. 

I'm going to do something different this year. I will post once a week and share who the God of the Christians is and how He can and will intervene in your life if you focus on Him and His miraculous power. 

The God I serve is the same God that made the birds of the air, the fish of the sea. He is the God that made the mountains and the valleys. He made the sun, the moon and the stars and He made you and He made me. God is Lord of all lords and King over all kings. Nothing gets by Him that He doesn't see or hear because He is ever present (Omnipresent). He knows all because He is Omniscient. And He is Omnipotent as He has all authority and all power over everything He created. 

God is a great God!  He is merciful, forgiving and very loving. He cares about you, where you are in life and what you are capable of because He made you. You are meant to worship Him and Him alone and if you are more interested in other factors in your life, then you are missing out on the most wonderful blessings He has for you. 

As I introduce to our Lord, you will find that there are reasons things happen that may not make sense. God is a just God and He doesn't make mistakes. There are laws that even God cannot break so I hope that you will stay with me as we explore our divine Maker during 2024.

 

God Has Said!

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? -Isaiah 53:1

Jesus said, “All things are possible to him that believes” (Mark 9:23). The only qualification He gave us is that we must believe. So often that’s the hard part for most of us. We say, “Lord, why did You make it so hard? Dear God, it’s hard to believe.”

Believing is the product, or the offspring, of God’s Word planted in the human heart. Our problem hasn’t been our lack of ability to believe; it has been not knowing what to believe. Believing has always seemed like an abstract, intangible mystery.

Someone says, “Man, I’m trying to believe God.

“What are you trying to believe?”

“I’m trying to believe God!”

But God gets a little more specific. He asks, “Who has believed our report?” In any given situation, we need to find out what God is saying and believe His report.

In the Garden of Eden, God told Adam, “…but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it; for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die (Gen. 2:17). Later the serpent beguiled Eve, saying, “You shall not surely die” (Gen. 3:4). Now Eve had two reports. She’d never had this choice before—and she chose to believe the serpent’s report!

When the Israelites were approaching the Promised Land, they sent in twelve spies. Joshua and Caleb returned and said, “Oh, yeah, it’s just as God said, and we’re well able to take it. Let’s go do it!” But the other ten came back and said, “No way! We can’t do it!

In any situation in our lives, we have a choice. We can either believe what it looks like, seems like or feels like, or we can believe what God says. The serpent asked Eve, “Yea, has God said?” (Gen. 3:1). Yes, He has. God has said something about every situation we’ll ever run into. Let’s look the problem straight in the face and say, “God has said!” If we want His power revealed in our lives, let’s believe His report!

CONFESSION:

God said that by Jesus’ stripes, I was healed. I choose to believe God’s report. I fully expect His healing power to be revealed in my life!

Live on the “More Besides Side of Life!

If any man has ears to hear, let him hear. And He said to them, Take heed what you hear; with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.                                                                                                                    -Mark 4:23-25

Jesus explains in this passage that what we hear determines the kind of fruit we bear in our lives. In the parable of the sower, found earlier in this chapter, the “wayside person quits hearing the Word, and the thief comes and steals it away. The “stony ground person quits hearing the Word when persecutions and afflictions come. The third person begins by hearing the Word, but the thorns of this life—the cares of this world, the deceitfulness or riches and the lusts of other things---enter in and choke the Word, making it unfruitful.

Too often people listen to the wrong things, meditate on the wrong things and feed on the wrong things. Jesus said, “Take heed what you hear.” The Amplified Bible makes verse 24 even clearer:

            And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

I don’t know about you, but I want to live on the “more besides” side of life! We decide whether we live on the “barely-getting-along” side or on the “more besides” side.

But notice this: Jesus says, “More [besides] will be given to you who hear.” Will more be given to those who beg and plead or to those who pray all the time? No. Although it’s important to pray, prayer will do no good unless we are doing what Jesus tells us to do. “More besides will be given to us only when we set ourselves to hear the truth of God’s Word.

CONFESSION:

I continually hear God's Word, and the Holy Spirit constantly adds to my knowledge and understanding. “More besides" is given to me in every area of my life as I hear and obey God’s Word!
