Faith for Salvation – Faith for Healing

But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. -Romans 10:6-9

This one passage of Scripture tells you not only how to be saved, but how to be healed—by speaking in faith. Notice what Paul says in verse 6: “But the righteousness [in right standing with God] of faith speaks in this way…” Faith always speaks. What you say is your faith speaking. I don’t mean just what you say once, but what you say over a period of time.

Then in verse 8, Paul asks, “But what does it say?” What does the righteousness which is of faith say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” Faith has to be in both places.

Verse 9 goes on to say, “…that if you confess with your mouth…” You may say, “I don’t believe in Bible confessions.” If you don’t, you have to throw out the whole book of Romans!

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

You may argue, “But that verse is talking about salvation.” Yes, I know, but the same faith that got you saved will get you healed. You just have to take your faith and point it in a different direction. Remember, Jesus said, “All things are possible to him who believes!” (Mark 9:23.)

CONFESSION:

God’s Word in my heart and in my mouth says that the Lord Jesus is my healer! By faith I speak healing to my body, and according to my faith, it will be done unto me!
